It took a lifetime's experience and 20 years of hard work to convert this barn into a dramatically different home. Jeweller Jinks and her husband Steve, a carpenter who works for the National Trust, live and work in a cluster of seventeenth-century converted barns in East Sussex. The main oak-framed house is a converted cowshed that the couple restored from scratch.
