Peaceful Past

It was by happy accident that Wendy and Ian stumbled upon the village where they subsequently found their home. They had decided to take a scenic route one day. When Ian, asked ‘left or right?’ Wendy picked right and they found themselves weaving through the narrowest, prettiest of lanes and into a village that felt like it had been frozen in time. Pretty stone houses huddled around a large village green, and nothing other than the odd tractor or dog roaming the lanes disturbed the timeless peace of the place.
