The view of tall grasses dancing in the breeze against a backdrop of London plane trees creates a magical entrance to Robert McNab and Joanne Bernstein’s newly transformed home. With the flats behind almost entirely screened by trees, it is astonishingly rural. ‘We opened up the wall which divided hall and kitchen, ’ says Joanne explaining how they made sure that the first view from the front door was all about the garden.
