Nineteenth century cottage on the Beara Peninsula in south-west Ireland

The location was its main attraction. The building was a collection of ramshackle farm sheds. It took 18 months to transform the cottage into an attractive family home. Paul worked toward restoring the period atmosphere, while his wife Helen collected the traditional Irish furniture for the interior.
