Celia began to see some truth in the maxim that less is more when she downsized from a large house in Devon to a small cottage in London. Her Victorian house had easily absorbed collectibles gathered from trawling markets and she had to say farewell to several pieces of furniture and pictures, as well as a great quantity of china. But she realised the pieces she was able to take with her were the truly special ones, with unique designs or precious memories.
