A Hyde Park flat revamp makes a virtue of its traditional features

Although Andrew Smart’s Hyde Park flat has a certain lock-up-and-go convenience suited to a professional bachelor, it’s far from being a bland pad. Andrew had a selection of heirloom furniture – a cabinet, an escritoire that belonged to his grandfather and an old chaise longue. He is also a collector of contemporary South African design and has assembled pieces he loves.
